12 April 2005 - Apache MyFaces 1.09 released
The Apache MyFaces team has released version 1.09, the first version released since the team joined the Apache Software Foundation.
This release includes:
- Several bug fixes and refactorings
- Portlet support
- New components, such as an improved Tree control, CollapsiblePanel, and selectOneCountry
- Russian translations

MyFaces is the free open source implementation of JavaServer(tm) Faces, a new and upcoming web application framework that accomplishes the MVC paradigm. It is comparable to the well-known Struts Framework but has features and concepts that are beyond those of Struts - especially the component orientation.
