<![CDATA[The Apache POI team is pleased to announce the release of POI 3.0.2.
<p/>
Apache POI is well-known in the Java field as a library for reading and writing OLE2 office file formats, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word.
<p/>
There have been many important bug fixes since the 3.0.1 release and a lot of new features.
<p/>
A full list of changes is available in the change log: http://poi.apache.org/changes.html
<p/>
The source and binaries can be downloaded from your local mirror: <a href="http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/poi/release/">http://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi/poi/release/</a>

<![CDATA[<a href="http://poi.apache.org/">The Apache POI Team</a> is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Apache POI 3.0.1 (formerly known as Apache Jakarta POI). This is our first release since our TLP (Top Level Project) graduation from <a href="http://jakarta.apache.org/">Apache Jakarta</a>, and we would like to thank all those who helped it happen.
<p/>
Apache POI is well-known in the Java field as a library for reading and writing OLE2 office file formats, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word.
<p/>
Besides a number of bug fixes, this release offers a range of new features including:<ul><li>Improvements to date cell detection, via isADateFormat</li><li>"missing record aware" HSSF event model</li><li>Lots of HSLF (PowerPoint) updates</li><li>HDGF - basic, read only support for Visio Files</li></ul>
